Step back in time as we take you on a coach journey through Germany’s Rhineland. The Rhine is famous for its spectacular scenery, so all you have to do is sit back and admire magnificent cliff top castles, pretty riverside villages and historic towns.

Your Hotel: Ringhotel Haus Oberwinter

Enjoy panoramic views over the Rhine Valley from this 3-star-superior hotel, elevated above Remagen. It is peacefully located between the Siebengebirge and Ahrtal mountains and offers cosy rooms which are equipped with satellite TV, mini-bar and some rooms have adjustable electric beds. The bathrooms have level entry showers with grab rails. During the evenings, you can relax with a delicious meal and a glass of wine in the hotel restaurant, and enjoy the sun set from the adjoining Rhine terrace.

Sunday 23rd April – UK to Remagen-Oberwinter

Depart the UK to stay at the Ringhotel Haus Oberwinter. You can settle into the relaxed atmosphere of this wonderful hotel and enjoy the panoramic view over the Rhine River.

Monday 24th April - Remagen

Today is free, allowing you time to relax and discover your surroundings. Due to the hotel’s hill top location, coach access is required to get out of the hotel grounds due to the steep approach road. A complimentary shuttle will be taking guests into Remagen, made famous by the capture of the Ludendorff Bridge during the closing stages of World War II.

Tuesday 25th April - Cologne

After a relaxing breakfast, we make our way to the world famous riverside destination of Cologne. Be sure to join our city tour accompanied by a local guide, giving a superb introduction to Cologne and its many major landmarks, including the mighty Cologne Cathedral.

Wednesday 26th April - Koblenz

This morning we head to Koblenz, which sits on the corner where the Rhine meets the Moselle. Here you will see spectacular views across the two rivers. Do not miss our excursion that takes a cable car ride from the town centre to the fortress across the Rhine and explores the city, which is steeped in history and culture.

Thursday 27th April – Winningen

Be sure to join our excursion to the stunning winery in Winningen, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy top quality wines that have gained worldwide recognition over recent decades. The wines are excellent and to give you an example, the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company buys their Moselle wine directly from this area. We have therefore arranged for you to visit one of its most reputed wineries in Winningen, the Heymann-Loewenstein Wine Estate Company.

Friday 28th April - Andernach

Today we set off to explore the walled town of Andernach with its attractive town and riverside promenades. You will have the day at leisure to sample local cuisine, check out the local shops and to collect some last minute souvenirs.

Saturday 29th April – Bonn
