Your
nights, just like your days can be as lively or relaxing as you choose. Once
you've dined on superlative cuisine and enjoyed the company of your fellow
passengers you may want nothing more than a moonlit stroll and an early night.
If, on the other hand, your night is just beginning, the larger cruise ships
can offer you a dazzling array of entertainment and diversions. The smaller
ones, a more intimate experience.
After brandy and liqueurs why not check out the main evening show? And when we say show we mean it. Many ships boast theatres and show-lounges that wouldn't be out of place in London's West End or Broadway! You'll be treated to everything from classic drama to full-scale spectacular musicals complete with glittering costumes.
If it's cabaret you're after, you'll find top performers like on British ships treading the boards on board. For movie buffs there are screenings every night in shipboard cinemas and if you're in the mood for a more sedate evening many can offer you live classical music recitals.
Wander
around and you could find a late night cabaret, a talented vocalist, or join
a hotly contested trivia quiz. It may be a spontaneous barbecue on deck, the
glamour of Casino Night or one of a hundred themed evenings.
Feeling lucky? Then head for the casino. Feel like a laugh? Then see a comedian. Feeling energetic? Then come dancing. You'll find just about every style of dance on offer from dance floors from disco to ballroom.
Two things that night owls will find most reassuring is the fact that bars remain open and buzzing into the small hours and, if they have children, that there's usually a full range of night-time entertainment to keep them busy too.
Which other holiday experience offers such a range of entertainment options - and the vast majority are wheelchair accessible!
