Location

Sitting high on the hills above Portreath Bay the views are stunning. This holiday village is located a 5 minute drive from Portreath and close to other Cornish towns and villages such as Newquay, Redruth and Penzance.

Terrain

The terrain in and around the holiday village is fairly flat with ramped access to all areas. However to get out and about outside the holiday village your own transportation will be required.

Accommodation

Spacious and solid, the wooden Scandinavian-style two and three-bed lodges can accomodate between 4 and 6 people. All lodges have been luxuriously and stylishly decorated with no compromise on design or equipment. All lodges include plasma T.V, WiFi and Wired Internet access and Satellite. All linen, duvets and towels are included plus a fully equipped kitchen for every need, from a snack on the run to a day’s preparation. The bedroom and bathroom located downstairs and the living area and kitchen – with the terrace are all accessible and spacious, the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs with the balocny, give you the full benefit of the views and the sense of space during daylight hours. Accessible lodges are registered as NAS M3 Assisted Living standard with a ground floor twin bed room with electric bed, wet room style bathroom with level entry roll in shower with grab rails and grab rails at the toilet and extended tap handles on the sink, there is also a living/dining room and superbly equipped kitchen with lowered kitchen surfaces, upstairs offers a king size master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a further bathroom and twin bedroom.

Facilities

On site Club House includes a restaurant with outdoor seating, beauty salon (not accessible - treatments available in lodges), childrens adventure play area, putting green, croquet lawn, sauna, steam room, gymnasium and heated indoor swimming pool with pool hoist and large steps with a rail for easier entry. Dvd's and games are available for hire from reception also the celebrity wildlife expert - Garry Zammit is nohand to introduce you to the local wildlife found on site. From Stinky the Mink and the rescued foxes to the Falconry, owls, deer and other nighttime animals.

Wining and Dining

The Terrace Restaurant and Bar with its beautiful views out to the Atlantic, serves select wines and fine dishes which are almost exclusively the products of Cornish suppliers. The menu has an emphasis on Mediterranean-style food and the restaurant is of contemporary design. There is also Al fresco seating for 30 diners. Enjoy excellent food and wines, experience your first Cornish clotted cream tea, or relax in the sun with the drink of your choice and with our children’s play area not too far away the Terrace is a great place for all the family to relax.

Out and About

For those who want to wander, but not too far, there’s plenty within easy reach. Nestling in a valley between high cliffs, its wild moorland hills roll down to a spectacular sandy beach, while its National Trust coastal pathway has more than its share of breathtaking views. Portreath itself is a fishing village with a distant history as a working harbour. All the attractions of a small seaside resort are there, as is the South West Coast path (or at least a scenic slice of its 630 miles). The mineral tramway along which mined metals once trundled is now a cycle-path which runs right alongside Gwel an Mor and stretches all the way to the south coast. Closer still across Gwel an Mor land is Tehidy Country Park’s 250 acres of woodland, whose sprawling beauty encompasses marked walks of varying length, cycle-ways and an 18-hole golf course.
