This hotel is perfectly situated right on the beach front.
Access in and around the hotel is very good. There is lift access to the street, and the reception is low level.
Commode shower chairs, hoists, scooters and other mobility equipment is available for rent. Please make these arrangements through our Travel Advisors at time of booking your holiday as your required equipment may not be available in all resorts.
Accomodation is gorgeous. Styled with a minimilistic approach, rooms include satellite TV, phone, air conditioning, mini bar and hairdryer. Adapted rooms have roll-in showers with a shower seat. There are grab rails at both the shower and toilet area. Bathrooms are large, with plenty of turning space, and it is possible to wheel under the double sinks.
Although there is no pool until 2008, the hotel does have many other facilities. These include a bar, smoking room, childrens club, and a Spa. There is lift access to a supermarket, car parking and a bakery, all located underneath the hotel. The stunning swimming pool overlooks the beach and is a wonderul place to relax, with large steps for easier entry. There is step access directly down to the beach and for wheelchair access you will need to go back through the hotel entrance to get down to the beach area.
Dining at Sol y Mar is an experience you do not want to miss! Both restaurants (buffet and a la carte), and bar enjoy views across the ocean through a spectacular floor to ceiling glass front.
Calpe has all the attractions of a normal seaside town with 4 separate beaches and is famous for its superb fish restaurants. The nearest golf course is the highly acclaimed Altea Hills Golf Club. Calpe has wheelchair accessible beaches with disabled toilets, changing and showering facilities as well as disabled parking. Terra Mitica, the famous theme park is loacted just outside of Benidorm or the newly opened Terra Natura, animal and waterpark. Both are accessible by wheelchairs.
