Gran Canaria

Famous for its numerous beautiful beaches and year-round temperate climate, Gran Canaria is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The stunning coastline includes rolling Sahara-like dunes, glorious white sand beaches and transparent waters acclaimed for their cleanliness. Affectionately dubbed ‘The Miniature Continent’, the island is very rural and beautiful, with lush tropical landscapes and exotic flora and fauna set against the romantic backdrop of majestic mountains.

Gran Canaria first earned its popularity with tourists as a health resort and still today the island’s spas, mineral-rich waters and ideal climate maintain its image as a place to refresh mind, body and soul. Golf and water sports are also popular and the resorts offer some of the best cafes, restaurants, clubs and nightlife in Europe. The island also boasts many family attractions, including water parks, theme parks and excellent shopping centres.

Hotels are proud of their excellent reputation for being very family friendly and provide excellent facilities and amenities. Access in and around the main resorts is generally very good and service is always friendly and attentive. Most resorts also offer a wide range of children’s activities, including kids clubs.

Las Palmas is the dynamic capital of the island and offers a wealth of attractions, including fabulous fiestas and street processions. The south of the island includes delights such as the picturesque village of Puerto de Mogan (known as Little Venice), and the beautiful area around Playa del Ingles.
